Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her film Piano earned her an Oscar. Actresses have an extensive experience of performing on Broadway, Off-Broadway and other productions. Acting has always been her obsession. In fifth grade, she was cast as Helen Keller in an original show. After suffering from the Mumps, she was blind on the other side of her ears. However, this didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to be an actress. In her early years, she took classes in drama at college before moving into New York City from Pittsburgh to follow her dreams. Hunter was trapped in the lift of the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. After she was settled in Los Angeles, she began to look for film roles. She landed one as an actress who played the main character in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in numerous films and shows and TV films in a long career that spans more than three decades. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame famous person and she has won Women in Film Lucy Award.
