Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her film Piano was awarded an Oscar. At a young age, the accomplished actress began playing on stage for a number of Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. Since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. Mumps caused her to be blind and deaf in the one ear. However, she did not allow this to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actress. In her early years, she studied drama in college and moved into New York City from Pittsburgh in order to pursue her ambitions. After a casual encounter, she became stuck in an elevator with writer Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the Broadway Crimes of the Heart' which became Hunter's debut. After moving into Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and was offered an acting role as a support on Swing Shift. Her professional career spans over thirty years and she's appeared in many TV movies or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity as well as a winner of the Women in Film Lucy Award.
